How was Michael Jackson a great leader? I have to write a paper about great leaders and i need 3. i have two and i wanted to use michael jackson because he is my hero..but i cant seem to find anything about his leadership styles. help?

Michael Jackson was not a leader as such like Martin Luther King, but he influenced people to help the world, charities, the sick and the poor, it doesn’t matter what colour your skin is, just the spirit you have and it’s what the inside that counts. Michael Jackson helped many charities even out of the public eye, he would go out of his way by even wearing masks and costumes to try to get out of the public eye for a while so he could visit sick fans, hospitals donate money to one of his charities he supported: AIDs foundation, he founded his own foundation – Heal the World foundation, and I think the Michael Jackson burns unit, but probably more.
He promoted anti discrimination with his music, his spirit, he proved that all is possible if you have faith, he broke the music and even race boundaries by making people of all races and cultures fall in love with his infectious music and entertaining talent.
As well as being a humanitarian, he also cared about the world, the nature and tried to promote the health of the environment as well as the people living in it, for there is only one world – when it’s gone, it’s gone. I’m not really good in this kind of stuff, but its easy with Michael. Just think about how he effected people with his music. the way he used his fame to make others see important things in this world that need to be looked at and need to be changed. he tried to send very important messages through his music.
like Heal the World – Michael tried saying we should heal the world because there are many people who need help in this world, and he tried showing us we are all the same and we all came from the same ground of Earth, the home of us all, humans and animals and nature, we are part of the same, we are all brothers and sisters, then why should we have all these fights and killing and war and hate.
Man In the Mirror – also the same, he told us to look at the man in the mirror and thats where the change comes from. when you look in the mirror and know you have the ability to help and change things, and do something, and be a better person.
Earth Song – he tried showing us where we came from, because we forgot, we should thank we live in such a beautiful planet instead of ruining it to shreds and taking everything for granted. nature is very important, and animals have rights, we came from nature, and were part of it so we shouldn’t ruin it all…the planet is very important. so he tried telling us this in this song.
all this tells you why Michael was a great leader. he was a singer but he also was a leader by trying to impact and making others realize things that are important and he did so much. you can write about all this. Michael have done a lot. :]

But to me he was not a leader although he knew what he wanted when it came to music leadership to me implies the person is a dictator,assertive etc.MJ was more the quiet type. References :
